Dominic Gully received the MVP award for the Golden League varsity basketball. This was no surprise, due to his hard work and dedication.
Gully averaged about 11 points a game, which really helped the team during their games. Although Gully was overjoyed to be MVP, he expressed sadness over this season ending. The Boy’s Basketball team lost in their first round of CIF playoffs. One thing he says he will miss most about Highland basketball is playing with his team. “My heart was lowkey broken when season ended. We were all like brothers. I got a chance to be close to everyone” said Gully.
Gully has received two offers to play basketball in colleges out of state in South Dakota and Nebraska. He says if he got an offer closer to home, he would probably take it, but going out of state will be a new enjoyable experience.
