College Applications and Holiday Expenses Thwart ASB Dance and Charity Drive

Unfortunately, the December Masquerade Ball and it’s accompanying charity drive were cancelled due to lack of ticket sales.

ASB conceived of the dance to raise money for charity and to provide students with a fun night of dancing. Unfortunately, only a small number of tickets had been sold by the middle of week prior to the dance, forcing ASB to cancel.

Students explained that the timing was bad, falling during college application deadlines and just as students faced the additional holiday shopping costs.

There was to have been one king and one queen of charity, from any grade level, selected by the amount of donations they raised.

It is possible the dance and drive will be rescheduled, but students need to get involved to make these kinds of events work.
